I’ve mentioned before that the Boy has reached the age when he likes good word play. Sometimes it’s told as part of a joke. Sometimes a light bulb just goes off in his head, and he can’t let go of phrasing that’s just ridiculous and too good to be true.
Here are some recent examples of his own discoveries of how fun the English language can be. Once we had figured out what he was trying to say, and had had a good groan over them, there was no stopping him from running around with a big grin on his mug, trying to get everyone to decipher his words. I’ll leave you on your own to figure these out:
> “test a coal” (a part of the body)
> “hand so low” (a character in a well-known movie)
