Passive-aggressive notes are funny and all, but sometimes you just need a shy, sweet little note to brighten your day.
The Boy has a incurable sweet tooth, but also a good sense of when too much is too much. Still, he can’t help himself. So what’s a child to do when he knows that he’s already had too many strawberry cupcakes in a day, and really, really wants another one, but is afraid to ask outright? He silently slips Mama a little note and stands by with hopeful eyes:
This sly little move, showing careful deliberation and effort, and especially—or because of—the misspellings (and correction), of course nets him one in the end.
